Pentathlon coaching programme, a success

Modern Pentathlon Federation of Sri Lanka successfully conducted a UIPM CCP level 1 coaching programme which concluded on last Friday.

Carina Vicente (POR) of UIPM led the programme, said President of the Modern Pentathlon Federation of Sri Lanka (MPFSL) Nishantha Piyasena.

UIPM was the main sponsor for this programme and Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts partnered with MPFSL as the official hotel partner while the Department of Sports Development held the co-sponsorship to make the program a success.15 coaches across the country participated in the programme.

The President Nishantha Piyasena further added the vision of MPFSL is to expand its operations by adding more coaches to the Modern Pentathlon in Sri Lanka in order to establish a strong coaching platform for the upcoming young athletes. We hope this programme will be a strong boost to the vision of MPFSL, said Nishantha.

MPFSL would wish to thank all the stakeholders of this programme for their tremendous support in developing the MP sport in Sri Lanka.
