Two monks clash over property after incumbent’s demise

A spokesperson of the Kalutara Teaching Hospital said that two monks who were injured in a fight between two groups of monks in a temple in Kalutara North area have been admitted to the hospital.

The Kalutara North Police also said that a complaint has been filed by a monk from the same temple, regarding the clash. It is said that two 18-year-old monks injured in the clash have been hospitalised.

It is said that chief incumbent of the temple had passed away recently and after that a dispute had arisen between two groups of monks in the temple regarding temple’s property.
