The 142nd and 143rd Battle of the Blues were played behind closed doors with the objective of being socially responsible. Both encounters were keenly contested and ended as a draw, keeping the unbroken tradition alive.
In this context, it is with great joy and pride that the Joint Match Organizing Committee for the 144th Battle of the Blues wishes to announce to the general public that the 2023 Royal-Thomian Cricket encounter for the D. S. Senanayake Memorial Shield will return to the SSC as a fully-fledged encounter open to spectators on March 16, 17 and 18.
