The North Western Province Badminton Association (NWPBA) has called entries for the NWPBA Open Badminton Championships which will be held next month.
The championships, organized by the NWPBA under the auspices of the Sri Lanka Badminton will be held at the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Indoor Stadium in Boyagane and the Welagedara Indoor Stadium in Kurunegala from February 20-26.
This will be the first Level 1 Ranking tournament in the SLB event calendar. The championships will see events being conducted under a number of age groups and Open categories, including open men’s and women’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles as well as age group events for several categories in U-11 to 19 and over 30 to over 70.
All events will contribute towards the national rankings and all winners, runner-ups of the championship will be awarded prize money, certificates, trophies and medals.
