MRP for eggs gazetted, white Rs.44, red Rs.46

The Consumer Affairs Authority yesterday issued an Extraordinary Gazette stipulating maximum retail price for white and red eggs under the Consumer Affairs Authority Act, No 09 of 2003 with effect from yesterday.

Accordingly, a white egg can only be sold at a maximum price (MRP) of Rs.44 and a red egg at Rs.46.
