As a part of the ongoing publicity campaign of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Brazil titled “Promote Sri Lanka in Latin America,” the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Brazil Sumith Dassanayake had a TV interview with the renowned Brazilian presenter Wiliam e o Mundo.
During the 30 minute long airtime, the Ambassador explained the diversity and the uniqueness of Sri Lanka as an island nation.Ambassador Sumith Dassanayake also highlighted the availability of opportunities in Sri Lanka for Brazilians and South Americans in the areas of Trade, Tourism and Investment with special reference to the Colombo Port City project.
Special focus was drawn to Ceylon Tea industry and a demonstration was included on how to prepare a cup of Ceylon tea. Pictures of tourist sites in Sri Lanka and varieties of Ceylon tea samples representing the geographical elevations in Sri Lanka vis-á-vis Nuwara Eliya, Uda Pussellawa, Dimbula, Uva, Kandy, Sabaragamuwa and Ruhuna etc. also included in the video.
