The Son of Mexican drug kingpin 'El Raton' Captured

Foreign media reports 29 people including 19 suspected gang members and ten military personnel have lost their lives and 35 security personnel were injured during the exchange of fire in an operation to arrest Mexican drug cartel boss Ovidio Guzman who is known as 'El Raton' the son of drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman. He was arrested last Thursday morning after a successful operation carried out by the Mexican security forces in the city of Culiacan capital of the northern state of Sinaloa. Security forces then flew him on a Boeing 737 Air Force One under heavy security to a federal prison in the province of Santa Juana. Mexican Defense Secretary Defense Minister Luis Cresencio Sandoval said that the suspect was arrested after a fierce exchange of fire with the drug dealers and twenty-one other people were arrested during Thursday’s operations. Sandoval also went on to state that no reports of any civilian deaths were reported.

32-year-old El Raton, aka Ovidio Guzmán López the son of Joaquín Guzmán Loera, who is considered one of the world's most powerful drug lords. He is also considered a serious drug trafficker and leader of criminal gangs.
