FitsAir to fly Trichy

FitsAir, Sri Lanka’s first privately owned low-cost carrier will launch direct flights to Tiruchirappalli (also called Tiruchi or Trichy) an ancient city in India’s southern Tamil Nadu state expanding their global destination radar.

FitsAir officials said that they will operate three flights per week to Tiruchirappalli from end January. FitsAir of Aberdeen Holdings, earlier known as Expo Air, which operates with a single Airbus A 320 aircraft currently flies three flights per week to the Maldives and Dubai.

More Indian destinations in the future but are restricting their destinations to SAARC, GCC and South East Asia countries. FitsAir was the first airline in Sri Lanka to be certified under the International Civil Aviation Organization ( ICAO) annex requirements, as well as being the first domestic airline to be certified by the Department of Civil Aviation to commence flights to Jaffna.
