Vege train from Nanu-Oya, a pilot project - Minister

Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardena said yesterday that the transport of vegetables to Colombo by trains was started as a pilot project. The Minister said that this first pilot project will be studied after the trial and will be dealt with accordingly in the future. Minister Gunawardena said this while participating in a media discussion held at the Government Information Department yesterday. 

Although several reports have been published that the transportation of vegetables by train had started yesterday it is only a pilot project which was started yesterday, the Minister said.
