No truth in Cardinal stepping down as Archbishop

Media Spokesman of the Archdiocese of Colombo Rev. Father Jude Krishantha rejected speculation in some media that Colombo Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith had decided to step down from the position of Colombo Archbishop.

He said that the he got a number of inquiries from the media fraternity about the speculation that the Colombo Archbishop is to step down from his position. Fr.Krishantha said that there was no truth in these reports and the Colombo Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith has not taken such a decision.“We don’t know from where this news has originated. There is no truth in these speculations,” he said.
