Leak causes fire at Maligawa media room

An air conditioner was burnt and destroyed in a fire that broke out in yesterday (30) morning in a storage room of the media unit of Sri Dalada Maligawa, Kandy. It is suspected that the air conditioner caught fire due to an electrical leak. The unit says that the media unit’s goods were not damaged in the fire.

The fire was doused in a short time with the help of the Kandy Municipal Council Fire Department.The Police Crime Monitoring Division has also come to the spot where the fire occurred and conducted investigations.
