10,863 get ‘A’ passes for all subjects

In the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Exam 2021 (2022) approximately 231,982 students who sat for the first time have qualified for Advanced Level. This is 74.52 percent of the number of school applicants who sat for the exam for the first time. 10,863 students who appeared for this examination secured A grades in all the nine subjects.

Also, 6,566 have failed in all subjects. It is 2.11 percent as a percentage.

The number of school applicants who appeared for this year’s examination for a single subject or all the subjects is 311553.

Out of that number, the number of students who appeared for five or more subjects is 311,321.

Commissioner General of Examinations General L.M.D. Dharmasena disclosed this at a press conference held Saturday (26).

Commissioner General of Examinations also mentioned that the results of 498 candidates who appeared for the examination this year were temporarily suspended due to irregularities.
