Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU) Team of Akkaraipattu Base Hospital beat Administrative Unit Team of the hospital by 40 runs in the final to emerge champions of the limited over cricket tournament conducted by the Akkaraipattu Base Hospital Welfare Society at the Zahra Vidyalaya play grounds, Addalaichenai recently.
The tournament among the hospital employees of the Akkaraipattu Base Hospital was organized by the Hospital Welfare Society headed by its President Dr.A.G.M.Shayee. Hospital employees participated divided into six teams. Para Medical Service Unit, Administrative Unit, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Medical Unit, Surgical Unit and Emergency Care Unit (ETU) teams from the hospital participated.
The final match was played between the Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU) team and Medical Unit team. Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU)team, batted first and scored 90 runs in their allocated five overs. In reply Administrative Unit team scored 50 runs in five overs.
P.T.Sihabdeen was adjudged the man of the series and S.Mufeel was adjudged the man of the match to receive award. Best Bowler award won by J. Ajmeer awarded prize.
