IPS to host ‘Driving Policy Action from Crisis to Recovery’ Seminar on Oct. 25

The Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka (IPS) will host a seminar to coincide with the release of its annual flagship report, Sri Lanka: State of the Economy 2022, focused on the theme Driving Policy Action from Crisis to Recovery. The seminar will be held on October 25, 2022 from 9 am – 12:30 pm at the Dr. Saman Kelegama Auditorium, IPS, Independence Avenue, Colombo 7.

Central Bank of Sri Lanka Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe and K.M. Mahinda Siriwardana, Secretary to the Treasury/Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilisation and National Policies, will deliver the keynote addresses.

Dr. Dushni Weerakoon, Executive Director, IPS, will make a presentation to mark the release of the Sri Lanka: State of the Economy 2022 report. R.H.W.A. Kumarasiri, Director-General, Department of National Planning and . E.A. Rathnaseela, Addl. Director-General, Department of National Planning will chair/moderate a session on ‘Policy Action for Shared Sustainable Growth: A National Policy Framework’. Under this theme, senior IPS researchers will present as follows: A National Policy Framework by Dr. Nisha Arunatilake, Director of Research; Social Inclusion and Improved Governance by Dr. Ganga Tilakaratna, Research Fellow; and Competitiveness and Sustainability by Dr. Manoj Thibbotuwawa, Research Fellow.
