According to the updated rankings of Science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators published on October 10, 2022, four professors from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kelaniya are among the world’s top 2 percent scientists list.
They are Professor Janaka De Silva of the Faculty of Medicine, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva of the Department of Parasitology, Professor Anuradhani Kasthuriratne of the Faculty of Public Health, Professor Asitha De Silva of the Faculty of Pharmacology.
This analysis was conducted by a team at Stanford University in the United States using Scopus data provided by Elsevier.
The four professors are included in the list of 38 scientists based in Sri Lanka.
