The OIC of Udappuwa Police crime division has committed suicide yesterday (10). The deceased Sub Inspector has committed suicide due to a family issue last Friday (30).
According to Police investigations the deceased officer was stressed out due to the issue. Suicide prevention lifelines in Sri Lanka include (toll free) Hotline numbers 1926 and 1333.
