The Old Girls’ Association of Ananda Balika Vidyalaya, Maligakanda, Colombo had organized its Annual Netball Tournament 2022 among the old girls for the sixth consecutive year at the school premises on Sunday September 4. Players from four houses Metta, Karuna, Muditha and Upekkha e participated. In the final Metta House became the champion and Muditha House became a runners up for the sixth consecutive year.
Captain of the Champion House Shiromi Wijerathne received the Champion award from Chief Guest Supervising Sports Officer, Sports Department of Colombo Municipal Council Yamuna Sandamali and Captain of the Runners-Up House Ruchira Yapa Abeywardena received an award from Champa Alvis. Supervising Sports Officer, Sports Department of Colombo Municipal Council. Best Player of the Tournament Metta House Sandamali Anuththra and Best Shooter Metta House Shiromi Dilrukshi Sooriyaarachchi received an awards from Principal of Ananda Balika Vidyalaya W.B.G. Kumuduni. Assistant Principal Chamani Perera , Old Girls’ Association Vice Presidents Anuja De Silva, Kanchana Dilrukshi, Secretary Janaranji Liyanage, Asst.
Secretary Shakila Rupasinghe and members of the Association were also present.
