Two ships carrying diesel, crude oil and petrol arrive

Two ships carrying 37,000 metric tons of diesel, one 100,000 metric tons of crude oil and 30,000 metric tons of petrol have arrived in Sri Lanka so far. The Secretary of the Ministry of Power and Energy Mapa Pathirana, said that part of the amount owed to a diesel ship and a crude oil ship that has arrived at the port has been paid.

The Secretary also said that necessary steps will be taken to unload the fuel from the fuel ships that have paid part of the money.

The Secretary also said that they are negotiating with the Central Bank to allocate the money needed for another Petrol ship.

He also said that in the future, fuel will be supplied in such a way that there will be no shortage and queues.
