Panadura Royal College to meet Christ King U-17 Division 2 final

Royal College Panadura entered the final of the Under 17 Division 2 Inter Schools cricket tournament yesterday.

Royal College Panadura beat Lyceum International School Nugegoda by 213 runs in the semi-final played at the Ananda Shastralaya ground in Kotte.

Royal Panadura won the toss and elected to bat first. Royal Panadura scored 307 runs in 49.3 overs. Kaveesha Perera scored 65 runs and Sehandu Ranmira scored 60 runs. Sadew Wijerathna (46), Thinal Soysa (45), Rusith Jayawardana (32) and Kushan Dewaka (21) helped to build their innings. Thejan Induwara claimed 5 wickets for 49 runs.

Lyceum International School Nugegoda were bowled out for 94 runs in 26.4 overs. Thevindu Jayasundara scored 40 runs. Rusith Jayawardane claimed 4 wickets for 23 runs.

Royal College Panadura will meet Christ King College Ja Ela in the final on 17th September at Thurstan College ground.
