Quadruplets born in Puttalam

A young mother who was admitted to the Puttalam Hospital gave birth to quadruplets during her first delivery, said the Director of the Puttalam Hospital, Dr. Sumith Anton Fernando. Quadruplets have been born to a 24-year-old young mother in Karamba Musniapuram in Palaviya  and giving birth to quadruplets in her first pregnancy was a special event.

A baby boy and three baby girls were born after this caesarean operation at the Puttalam Base Hospital.

The hospital director said that this is the first birth of quadruplets in the nearly 70-year history of Puttalam Basic Hospital.
