In accordance with the price formula introduced recently, the Litro Gas Lanka Company expects to further reduce the prices of all domestic gas cylinder categories with effect from midnight Monday (5), Litro Chairman Muditha Peiris said yesterday.
He said the gas price is revised on the fifth of every month using this price formula and considering the fluctuations in the gas prices in the world market.
Currently, there are about five million cylinders available in the market and 96 per cent of them are still with the distributors and agents, he said.
He further said that the Litro Company expects to launch its Home Delivery Mobile Application immediately thus facilitating the consumers to purchase gas cylinders online. In addition, another mechanism will be launched in the future enabling those who are abroad to purchase gas cylinders for their families by making the relevant payments with USD, he said.
