Police arrest murder suspects in Wattala

A team of Wattala police officers engaged in crime prevention operations have been able to uncover a mysterious murder and 42 robberies following the arrest of three suspects who were found with a hand grenade and a stash of drugs. These suspects have been arrested on August 24.

The police said that one of the suspects possessed a hand grenade. In addition one suspect had 05.200 miligrams of heroin from their possession.The other suspect had 6.5 grams of heroin in his possession. Based on the information revealed by these suspects, another suspect has been arrested at Wattala Awara Fort. Police also found 08 grams and 15 milligrams of heroin in his possession.
