Land Entitlement deeds provided for families residing in 51 Watta, Mabole

A function for granting the land Entitlement deeds for the families residing in 51 Watta at Muthuraja Mawatha, Mabola, Wattala, who have been living in the area for well over 25 years without having such deeds, facing untold hardships, was held yesterday (August 31) under the patronage and sponsorship of Sajiva Kumara, member of the Wattala Mabola Urban Council.

This community care programme was held on a promise made to the residents by the member of the UC, Sajiva Kumara, using his own funds for the work.

Due to the non availability of the deeds, the children of the 51 Watta area were faced with so many difficulties in admitting them to schools as well as attending to other needs. The residents of the area were full of praise for the UC Member for his good deeds and were thankful for them. The UC Member has done so many other good deeds such as building houses for homeless persons, organizing pilgrimages for family elders to Kataragama, finding employment for unemployed youth and so many other community service work, thus becoming an exemplary political character.
