Two held with over 10 kg of ICE worth over Rs. 150 mn in Mannar

Sri Lanka Army Intelligence troops at the Mannar roadblock arrested two suspects along with 10.4 kg of the narcotic drug ICE last morning. According to the Army, they have been arrested while transporting the drugs from Thalaimannar to Vankalai by a cab.The arrested are 32 and 36 year old residents of Mannar and Thalaimannar areas. 

Mannar police were to produce the suspects before the Mannar Magistrate and obtain a detention order yesterday (31).

The value of the arrested drug consignment is around Rs.150 million,the Army said.

Officers attached to the 54 Division and 11 Sri Lanka Artillery in Mannar conducted the raid. The Army has handed over the suspects along with the arrested drugs to the Mannar Police for further investigations.
