The Immigration and Emigration Department (IED) yesterday said that the Scottish woman Kayleigh Fraser whose visa was cancelled after she campaigned for the Galle Face protests on social media will be deported if she does not leave in the next few days.
A department official said that she will be directed to a detention camp and thereafter arrangements will be made to deport her.
She has been asked to leave the country by August 15 and we are waiting until she leaves the country in the next few days, the official said. He said that investigations into her has been completed,
The writ petition filed by her before Court of Appeal seeking an Order to declare the decision of the Immigration and Emigration Controller null and avoid, was dismissed by the Court.
