Two batches to arrive on June 25 and 30

The Chinese government is to provide 10,000MT of rice for the most needed children in Sri Lanka under the School Meal Programme across the country, the Chinese Embassy in Colombo yesterday confirmed.

The first and second batches of rice donated by the Chinese government will reach the country on June 25 and 30.

The Chinese Embassy in Colombo yesterday said that six batches of rice have been scheduled through the RMB 500 million grant given by the Chinese government to Sri Lanka.

“Six batches of rice have been scheduled in China’s 500 RMB grant to Sri Lanka with the first and the second batch to arrive at Colombo Port on June 25 and 30, the embassy tweeted.
