Lead into Manning Market fruit seller’s killers

Investigations have revealed that the car that had come to kill Amba Shana at the Manning Market in Peliyagoda had been at the house of a person in charge of security at the Manning Market for more than an hour before the attack. 

Police sources said that the police are interrogating the man, who is said to be a former army officer, in this regard. Police have also identified a person who allegedly drove the car with the shooter.

It has been revealed that the car had been rented by the person who allegedly brought it with him.

Investigators have also received a security camera footage showing the man being close to the murdered Amba Shana at a ceremony at the Manning Market.

Police interrogation of his mother revealed that he was married and had left his wife and children. The car was found abandoned near a pedestrian lane in Kadawatha on Tuesday evening.

Officers from the Fingerprinting Unit arrived at the scene and found several fingerprints on the car. Police suspect that the fingerprints belonged to the criminals who arrived in the car.

According to police sources, the installation of a GPS device in the car has made it easier for the police to track down the killers. According to the police, a lot of information is being revealed about the whereabouts of the killers.
