The Annual Inter-House Sports-Meet of the Primary Section of the Greenhill International School, Kandy was held at Bogambara Grounds, recently under the patronage of Ms.Hazeera Zavahir, a well wisher of the Schoo.
The Principal of the School, Dr.Lalith A.Navaratne received the Chief Guest and the other distinguished guests and delivered the welcome speech.
Green House emerged Champions collecting 271 points, Runners-up were Red House with 197 points, Yellow House was placed third collecting 170 Points and the following Junior Athletes performed well and received Certificates & Trophies.
Binuthi Premaratne of the Yellow House emerged first at the Girls Under Eight 75 Metre and 50 Metre Races and second place at the 25 x 4 M. Relay, Yohani Fernando of Green House became first at the Girls Under 9- 50 Metre and 75 Metre Race and first in the Long Jump.
Nehan de Silva of the Red House came first at the Boys Under Ten- 100 Metre race and at the 50 x 4 M. Relay, Senori Hindagoda of Yellow House came first at the Girls Under Ten Long Jump and at the Girls Under 10 Throwing Ball and second in Girls Under 10 - 50 x 4 Relay. Omeli Kankanamge of Green House came firstat the Girls 50 Metre and second at the 75 Metre Races and 1st place at the Throwing Ball Contest. Ramesh Tharumesh of Green House in the Boys Under 9 emerged first at the 50 Metre and 75 Metre Races and at the 25x4 M. Relay. Nethuja Malwana of Green House became first at the Boys Under 9 Long Jump and at the 25x4 M. Relay. Hana Hameed of the Red House came first at the Girls Long Jump, and at the Girls Under 8 Throwing Ball and at the Girls 25 x 4 M. Relay.
