No power cuts during school hours this week

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has agreed not to disconnect electricity during school hours to facilitate students’ online education this week.

That was decided during a meeting between PUCSL and officials of the Education Ministry. Accordingly, the power supply will not be disconnected from 8 am to 1 pm during school hours. The Education Ministry decided to hold classes online in the Colombo region and nearby cities and in major cities in other provinces this week due to the current fuel shortage.
