Seven injured in car, bus collision

Seven persons were injured when a car driven by a doctor collided with a passenger bus in the Mudukatuwa area in Marawila on the Colombo – Chilaw main road yesterday morning.

The injured were admitted to the Marawila Base Hospital while two others were transferred to the Colombo National Hospital.

The car had collided with the bus causing the bus to veer off the road and crash into a tree. As a result, the buildings of a nearby hotel were also damaged.

An eyewitness said that the car was speeding from Marawila and had collided with the bus.

The doctor is being treated at the Intensive Care Unit of the Marawila Base Hospital.
