Police are on the lookout for suspects who seized a lorry, whose owner who was found dead on the road in Wattegama on Saturday (18).
The deceased was identified as Jaliya Parakrama (35) of Meegammanawatta, Wattegama.
On Saturday morning, the unmarried victim, at his residence, had shouted to his father that the finance company had come to seize his lorry.
When his father came out, he found that his son and the lorry were missing. When he went to the direction in which the lorry seemed to have gone, he found his son fallen on road around 300 metres away from the house.
With the assistance of villagers, he took his son to the Katugastota Hospital, but his son was pronounced dead on admission.
The postmortem was to be held yesterday. The Wattegama Police are conducting investigations.
