Litro Gas pays US$ 2.5 mn for ship load, gas sold from today

Litro Gas will be available from today (15) with the commencement of unloading a shipment yesterday, Litro Gas revealed.

However the entire country was badly affected with the unavailability of LP Gas since there was no gas distribution for seven days due to the inability to pay the gas ship that arrived in the country last week.

Litro Gas sources said that the unloading activities are in progress of the ship containing 3,900 metric tonnes of LP Gas which arrived in the country on June 8.

However the stock remained on board due to the payment delay of dollars for that ship. Litro Litro Gas had to pay a late fee for the ship for seven days, including yesterday. Litro said it would pay US$ 2.5 million for the ship’s gas inventory except the late charges. Our provincial correspondents across the country said that people had queuing up to get LP Gas at gas retail outlets despite the gas supply being disrupted.

According to the Litro Gas, LP Gas distribution will commence today.
