The Addalaichenai Divisional Team won the Rugby Championship by 33:0 in the final at the Ampara District Sports Games, organized by the Ampara District Sports Officer M.I.M.Ameer Ali and held at the Sammanthurai Central College (National School) playgrounds recently.
Runner-up was won by Ampara Divisional Team, The Rugby tournament was held as a part of Ampara District Inter Divisional Sports Meet -2022.
The tournament was organized by the Ampara District Secretariat Sports Officer M.I.M.Ameer Ali successfully under the guidance and supervision of Ampara District Secretary M.A.Douglas.
The Addalaichenai Divisional Team qualified to compete at the Eastern Provincial level Rugby Tournament for the sixth consecutive year .
The Addalaichenai Divisional Rugby team players are lucky to have the services of Sports Officer M.H.M.Aswath who is the strength behind their success. The Ampara District Sports Officer M.I.M.Ameer Ali, Sports Officers and many others were present.
