Cabinet decides to work without salaries for one year

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided not to draw salaries for a period of one year, Cabinet Spokesman Mass Media Minister Bandula Gunawardane said.

 He made this observation during the media briefing held yesterday at the Government Information Department to inform the decisions taken at this week’s cabinet meeting. The relevant proposal has been presented by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, after taking into account the present situation in the country.
