Laugfs gas has increased the price of domestic LP gas cylinders, it was reported yesterday.
Accordingly, the new price of a 12.5 kg gas cylinder will be Rs. 6,850 while the price of the 5 kg cylinder will be Rs.2,740.
It was also reported that a shipment of 3,500 metric tonnes of gas for Laugfs had arrived in the country and commenced unloading on Saturday night. Meanwhile, when contacted, Litro Gas Company Chairman Vijitha Herath said that the company had not taken a decision to increase their domestic LP gas prices yet.
Meanwhile Laugfs Chairman W. K. H. Wegapitiya said reports of the price of their LP Gas cylinders being increased is incorrect.
