The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China has played a major role as a hosting partner to promote Dragon Boat Races in Sri Lanka.

The Dragon Boats are long and thin with Dragon heads on the bow of the ships. Each boat included 12 rowers, a drummer, and a navigator while the rowers oar the boat the forward harmoniously and hurriedly accompanied by rhythms of drum produced by the drummer during the race.
