British PM promises to support Sri Lanka - Ranil

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has promised to support Sri Lanka to become an export oriented open economy, said Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in a tweet yesterday.

He said that he had a telephone discussion with his British counterpart yesterday and briefed him on the current situation in Sri Lanka.

“There, the UK Prime Minister also pledged to support Sri Lanka in the fields of tackling climate changes,” Wickremesinghe said.
