Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery to resume ops after fixing glitch

A minor technical issue has been reported at the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery, which commenced operation nearly after three months.

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) technical staff is working to fix the issue. Earlier it has been planned to issue refined fuel from Sapugaskanda Oil Refinary within five days after commencing the refinery. However CPC sources said that it may take a few more days to issue fuel from the refinery because of the technical issue.
