Footwear brand DSI successfully concluded its second phase of the “DSI Aluth Avurudu Badu Malla” promotion.

With the rise in cost of living and the ensuing lifestyle changes in Sri Lanka, DSI has taken a step forward to support its loyal customers with a daily essential pack during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year season.

This year, taking into account the prevailing difficult conditions faced by the people, DSI has increased the value of the pack to Rs. 7,500 from last year’s value of Rs. 5,000. This comes as a means of further committing to uplift the lives of its customers and the people of Sri Lanka by executing a socially benefiting promotion.

Commenting on the successful conclusion of the “DSIAluth Avurudu Badu Malla” promotion, D. Samson and Sons (Pvt.) Ltd. Director Asanka Rajapaksa shared: “The annual ‘DSI Aluth Avurudu Badu Malla’ promotion creates much more value this year, given the current economic climate in Sri Lanka. People are going through numerous hardships, where a person thinks thrice before making a purchase. As an organization which understands the pulse of its customers, we at DSI have come together to extend a helping hand to our loyal customers, and we are humbled by this opportunity to give back to the community.”

The only requirement to be eligible for the “DSI Aluth Avurudu Badu Malla” promotion was to purchase DSI footwear from any DSI outlet and meet the minimum bill value of Rs.5,000. Through this promotion, 10 winners were selected on a daily basis and over 400 customers were rewarded with a daily essential pack during the promotion period.

D. Samson and Sons (Pvt.) Ltd. Marketing Manager Samadhi Abeysinghe stated that the company received a multitude of positive feedback from winners, where the promotion was viewed as a timely initiative to give much-needed relief to customers amid the ongoing economic hardships. “This positive feedback has encouraged us to continue with such socially benefiting promotions in the future as well,” she noted.

The “DSI Aluth Avurudu Badu Malla 2022” promotion was conducted via the island wide network of DSI showrooms (excluding DSI Premier and EBO outlets), where all eligible customers who met the minimum bill value had to follow the simple process of sending a SMS with their name, identity card number, and bill number or scan the QR code to enter the promotion.

The winners were communicated on a daily basis through selected radio channels as well as through DSI’s social media page.
