Grade 5 Scholarship Exam cut-off marks released

The Education Ministry released the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2021 school cut-off marks yesterday.

Accordingly, based on the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination results, the school based cut-off marks have been issued for Grade 6 admission in the year 2022.

With the school cut-off marks list issued by the Education Ministry, Royal College, Colombo, has the highest cut-off mark (179) of the Sinhala Medium Boys’ School category.

The highest cut-off mark for Tamil Medium Boys’ Schools is also Royal College, Colombo (178).

Under the Sinhala Medium Girls’ school category, Visaka Vidyalaya, Colombo, has the highest cut-off mark (182), while in the Tamil Medium Girls’ School category, Vembadi Girls’ High School, Jaffna, has the highest cut-off mark (163).

The highest cut-off mark in the Sinhala Medium mixed school category is for Sivali Central College, Ratnapura (173), while that of the Tamil Medium mixed school category is for Highlands College, Hatton (164).

Based on the school-based cut-off marks, students who scored more marks than the cut-off marks are eligible to obtain admission to Grade 6 in their preferred schools.

The Education Ministry has announced that students can check the schools they have received by accessing the internet link https://g6application.moe.gov.lk.

Students for Grade 6 have been selected for admission to schools according to the cut-off marks decided by the results of the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination for 2021. If any student has not received admission to a school, he or she can appeal. A student who needs to get the school changed due to reasonable grounds can also appeal.

Facilities for such appeals will be provided online in the future. The Education Ministry will also notify the deadline for appeals. All appeals should be forwarded to the Education Ministry only through the online programme and appeals submitted by hand or any other form will be rejected.
