Sri Lanka Women’s Rugby pool for Commonwealth and Asian Rugby Sevens picked

The national Women’s rugby sevens pool, which will go on to take part at the Commonwealth Games Rugby Sevens in England and Asian Games rugby Sevens in China has been picked.

The training for the national sevens pool will continue at the Sugathadasa Stadium while the trials will take place on April 23-24. All the players will be housed at the Sugathadasa Stadium hostel. The sevens pool includes some experienced players along with some debutantes making their mark for the first time in national colours.

The Sri Lanka Women’s 7’s preliminary Squad is as follows,

Nirasha Weerasinghe, Anushika Samaraweera, Neranjana Wickramasinghe, Jeevanthi Gunawardena, Krishna kumar Thakshini (Air Force) , Dilini kanchana, Ayesha Perera, Theekshana Liyanage, Dulani Pallikondage, Shanika Dilshani, Umayangana Thathsarani, Chamodya Maduwanthi (Army), Anusha Aththanayake, kanchana kumara, Ruwanthi Tharushika, Shafra Wafoor, Anuththara Samarawickrama (CR & FC), Polhewage Dilani, Shanika Madumali, Randika Kumudumali, R.S.H.Kumari, Geethika Randunu, Samantha Piyamali, Jayanthi kumara, Nipuni Rasanjali, Thanuja Weerakkody (Navy).
