The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) says that there may be less pressure in the distribution of water to consumers in the highlands to meet their drinking water needs.
The board said in a statement that drinking water should be used as sparingly as possible at this moment of time. The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that the water level in water sources has dropped due to the dry weather conditions prevailing in the country these days. The Board also urges the public not to use water for non-essential activities such as washing, gardening as the water consumption of people is high and the supply of drinking water is limited and it should be distributed equally to all and to ensure water is used only for essential daily requirements only.
