State Minister sets up Working Partnerships with UK

Women and Child Development, Preschools and Primary Education, School Infrastructure and Education Services State Minister Piyal Nishantha De Silva is visiting universities in the United Kingdom to establish joint working partnerships in providing courses, which will benefit Sri Lankans and create job opportunities for them.

State Minister Piyal Nishantha De Silva met Head of School – Life Sciences Prof. Brendon Noble and Transnational Education Director Stephen Wallis from the University of Westminster during his visit.

During the meeting, it was agreed that the University of Westminster to provide short courses in sustainability and STEM programmes. The University will also provide short courses known as Continuing Professional Development (CPDs) in Science and Technology, Biotechnology and Public Health. The University will also provide MSc in Global Public Health Nutrition and Masters in Leading and Managing Health and Social Care.
