“Fuel crisis will not affect aviation sector”

State Minister of Aviation and Investment Zone Development DV Chanaka has stated that the current fuel crisis will not affect SriLankan Airlines or aviation sector in the country.

 

SriLankan Airlines already has enough fuel reserves for the next one and a half months. Last week, $ 32 million was paid for future purchases of fuel.

SriLankan Airlines also has the dollar reserves required to purchase fuel, the State Minister has said.

 

According to the State Ministry media unit, Chanaka had said his ministry will ensure that the services provided to the aviation sector to maintain an uninterrupted service will continue.
