Private tuition allowed only for O\L and A\L students

Deputy Director of Health Services Dr. Hemantha Herath has informed all school heads countrywide that although the candidates who are to sit for the GCE O\L Examination 2021 and the GCE A\L Examination 2021 are allowed to attend private tuition classes, schoolchildren who study in lower classes are not allowed to attend private tuition classes on account of the pandemic situation.

The O\L and A\L students were allowed to have private tuition only by strictly following the health guidelines, as their public examinations dates are nearing.

Children in other grades should not be sent to private tuition classes till the pandemic situation eases in the country, now that the threat of Omicron too is haunting the country, Dr. Herath said.
