Act responsibly, Health official warns citizens

Health Services Deputy Director General Dr.Hemantha Herath said there was a risk of COVID-19 spreading again due to people going on excursions and trips without following health advice thinking that the spread of the virus had ceased.

He urged the people not to act irresponsibly as such behaviour will pave way for another wave of COVID.

He also said that the COVID virus, which was controlled by the health sector with great dedication and discipline should not be allowed to raise its head again due to the irresponsible behavior of some people.

He said that what the people needs to do at this juncture was to behave responsibly and act in a manner which ensures there won’t be any shutdowns in future.
