A man was shot dead at around 6:30am in Mulleriyawa this morning.
The Police Media Unit reported that the deceased was 42-years-old and that the Police was conducting further investigations to uncover further details on the crime.
Another individual, 45, who sustained injuries in the accident, was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital..
Police suspect that the shooting was carried out over a narcotics dispute.
