Norwegian, Dutch Envoys discuss Batticaloa development

After the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions, the Ambassadors of Norway Trine Joranli Eskedal and The Netherlands Tanja Gonfgrijp called on State Minister of Backward Rural Areas Development and Promotion of Domestic Animal Husbandry and Minor Economic Crop Cultivation Sathasivam Viyalendran, Parliamentarian Rasamanikkam Sanakkian, Batticaloa Mayor Thiagaraja Saravanapavan, Deputy Mayor Kanthasamy Sathiyaseelan and Batticaloa Government Agent K. Karunagaran at their respective offices on Tuesday (12).

They discussed the ongoing development work in the Batticaloa district and the various projects envisaged by the Government for the district with State Minister Sathasivam Viyalendran.

The two Ambassadors also examined ways and means of developing the rural sector, introducing projects for the uplift of women and other projects.
