Three SL athletes suspended for misbehaving

Three national athletes, their coach and team manager, who participated in the Inter-State Athletic Championships in Patiala, India have been suspended by the Sports Development Department.

The Sports Ministry had temporarily imposed a suspension on these individuals until the inquiry for misbehaving while on quarantine at the Sugathadasa Hotel - affiliated to the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.

However the three-member Disciplinary Committee of Sri Lanka Athletics (SLA) granted their approval to suspend the three athletes Kalinga Kumarage, Selinda Jansen, Lakshika Sugandi and tour manager Sujith Abeysekera and Coach Vimukthi de Zoysa.
