Suspect arrested for robbing boutique

A suspect called ‘Bopitiye Kadaya’ has been arrested by Kalutara Crimes Investigation Unit Officers for robbing a boutique in Matugama of money and debit cards on October 9. The suspect (25) is a resident of Bopitiya, Matugama, Police said.

He had entered the boutique from its roof by removing an asbestos sheet, Police said. He was to be produced before the Matugama Magistrate.Matugama Police are investigating.
